Desert or Mountains

This essay startled me at first thinking I was going to be reading about the Sierra Desert. Muir used great detail in creating a visual for me it was almost like I was standing back in the Rockies. I can agree with Muir when he said he felt anxious when he was seeing the bear I too have seen a bear not as close as he was but any big game gets you that feeling and you start thinking am I getting to close.
