Wolves Sacred?

This essay by Rick Bass was very interesting to me. From the very paragraph I was hooked. I could picture a pack of wolves stocking a deer and ambushing it. To know Minnesota where I was born is home of the most populated area of wolves was news to me. Also to find that where I grew up in Canada was also populated by wolves was alarming because my family and I would take trips to the mountains once or twice a month and I never recall seeing wolves.
